I eat too much

But that's a given. You don't get to 271 pounds by eating sensibly. Now that I'm back on track (mostly) and have been diligent about tracking my meals, I'm surprised that each day I'm over my alloted points. I have friends on WW maintenance who only get 18 points a day. Yikes! I get 31 points and am really struggling to stay within that limit. Each day I eat what I think is within my points. The journal each day shows otherwise. At least I'm generally making good food choices (and I'm not over by scads). Just too many of 'em.

On the exercise front, I was really bummed to miss the water aerobics class tonite due to work. There was a time I would have been thrilled to have an excuse (especially a "good" excuse like work) to miss exercising. I'm taking this as another positive.

Hope everyone is had a good hump day.

18 points! Holy cow! I get 43 points a day, but usually only use about 30... but 18???? That's what, like some crackers for each meal? LOL

I struggle with eating to much some days too. I try to look at it that if at least my choices are good ones I don't beat myself up about it. I know when I'm eating healthy and usually even if I eat a bit to many calories the weight will still go down. It's when I don't eat healthy foods that I get in trouble. I really would like to live without counting calories but it seems when the weight drifts up I have to do get back to it to get the weight back off. Good luck with finding the balance you'll get it eventually. Sorry you missed your class.

The good news is that as you are slowly decreasing your points along the way, you get used to the new level. Plus, your stomach starts shrinking, so you don't have as much room (and get full faster). You can do this!

I hear ya! I'm at 29 pts, and I seem to be ok with that level for now. I can't for the life of me imagine only eating 18 pts.

Making healthy choices is half the battle though. Keep at it! You're doing great!
